Just recently I had a first visitor who came to see me from Latvia. Showing the city to my life partner took me away from everyday routine paths – finally I’ve visited places I wanted to and I’m starting to form my personal tourist’s plan – list of locations I particularly love. We’ve walked along the Water of Leith (I think now it’s my favorite place in town; with lush trees, river with waterfalls), we’ve visited Dean Village, Port of Leith and Newheaven Lighthouse, Royal Mile, Calton Hill, pubs, shops…Finally I’ve tasted traditional Scottish dish – haggis and various sorts of ales, beers, ciders and whiskeys. We’ve been to Yann Tiersen’s concert (well, that was too.. experimental), we’ve traveled to Glasgow in the first morning train and been at one of local electronic gigs. That was also too experimental. Are we getting older and/or just aching for harmony?
