now I am thinking about one project I plan to make before my return to Riga, hope I’ll have enough time to finish it and maybe will try to sell prints on Edinburgh Fringe.
Semester ended great. I’ve got good feedback from photography tutors, both projects+workbooks are graded as A-, weeehaa :)
Film documentary module (“Representing the real”) – B- (I was hoping for C).
Grade still pending for Photography and Film Criticism.

Recently I finished to work on a wee documentary project, which could grow in something bigger, and I hope it will, because I am (almost) absolutely happy with results and absolutely happy about people response to this project. I hope to proceed and collect as many stories as I can. So, if You are interested in participating in this documentary and to honestly share your life-story, please contact me.

Just recently I had a first visitor who came to see me from Latvia. Showing the city to my life partner took me away from everyday routine paths – finally I’ve visited places I wanted to and I’m starting to form my personal tourist’s plan – list of locations I particularly love. We’ve walked along the Water of Leith (I think now it’s my favorite place in town; with lush trees, river with waterfalls), we’ve visited Dean Village, Port of Leith and Newheaven Lighthouse, Royal Mile, Calton Hill, pubs, shops…Finally I’ve tasted traditional Scottish dish – haggis and various sorts of ales, beers, ciders and whiskeys. We’ve been to Yann Tiersen’s concert (well, that was too.. experimental), we’ve traveled to Glasgow in the first morning train and been at one of local electronic gigs. That was also too experimental. Are we getting older and/or just aching for harmony?
